Breakfast at Café Boulevard in São Paulo - memories of having fancy breakfast at Café do Boulevard in São Paulo, after spending nights dancing at "O PONTO" - an elegant Privée Club.

O Ponto was a Privée Club located at 1445, Alameda Jaú, Jardins, in São Paulo.

I have got the best memories of this time: the year was 1981/82. Every Saturday Night we would be there to have drinks, talk, dance, and flirt! Yes, of course! The club was very famous by that time and the costumers very well dressed and elegant. Besides smelling the best famous french fragrances. It was a dancing club and visitors would be introduced when accompanied at all times by a member, or you have to be a member yourself. So, just very select people could be there enjoying the environment and the Paulistanas Nights.

I decided to create a fragrance to remember the good memories of that frozen time in the past. After dancing all night and having lots of fun, we usually headed to Boulevard Hotel on São Luís Avenue, for a fancy having breakfast. Café do Boulevard was inside the Luxurious Hotel of the same name: Boulevard! and there we could talk about the adventures of the night while enjoying the most delicious coffee, croissants, cheese, tea, milk and chocolate, tropical juices, and a huge selection of fruit. So, this is how "Breakfast at Boulevard Café in São Paulo" was conceived and created.

This fragrance is totally natural presenting a delicious accord with 3 C’s of Craft Gourmet Perfumery: Cardamom, Coffee, Cumaru from Amazonas, and Cocoa.

Cocoa and Coffee absolutes are thick and viscous and need to be pre-diluted 50•50 with  perfume alcohol (95% neutral grape spirits) to get it liquid enough to measure. So, when I use it I must remember that they are pre-diluted, and I have to accommodate my formula ahead of time.
Cardamom is always a pleasant addition to any perfume where a bit of spice is nice.

I made a base (not a base note) of Chocolate and Vanilla, called it Cacauvanille and
I had decided on a Citrus citrus top note and a Floral Jasmine Heart note; the Top note was a common combination of Bergamot and white Grapefruit with attending scents of Yuzu and Lemon; the Heart note was Champa, Jasmine, Ylang-Ylang Extra, smoky Osmanthus and high-elevation Lavender.

Champa is another name for the Plumeria plant, which has red, pink, and white flowers. The plant is known for its fruity, floral fragrance. Yuzu has a fresh, citrusy scent with notes of tartness, sweetness, and a hint of green or floralSome say it's similar to a mix of grapefruit and mandarin orange.

Osmanthus has a fruity, floral scent that's often described as sweet, complex, and intense. It can also have a slightly animalic quality.

Cardamon, cacao, and coffee would be considered a warm, rich, and slightly spicy gourmand fragrance, evoking the comforting aroma of a spiced hot chocolate with a hint of roasted coffee beans, often with a prominent, slightly peppery cardamom note at the forefront; think of a luxurious, decadent scent with a touch of aromatic complexity.

Everything was built in order to capture the smell of a very fine coffee house buffet table full of delicacies. Through the large glass windows we could see the city that never sleeps (Yes, it is Sampa, or São Paulo).

l selected a fancy crystal oriental 6ml roll-on container to bottle this happy memory fragrance.
Hope you enjoy it as I did to create!
